My name is Gabridale Wilson, I am a professional supervised child monitor providing safe and professional child visitation supervision for non-custodial parents in the Kern and Los Angeles counties. It is my mission and obligation to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the child(ren) to build a positive and meaningful relationship with both parents because I wholeheartedly believe, “Family is not an important thing, it's everything”.

 

I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and worked in a facility with incarcerated and at-risk youth for over 20 years. For the past 5 years it has been my pleasure to teach parenting, individual living and adaptive living skills to children and adults with disabilities. As a result of so many memorable and rewarding experiences, I decided to expand my expertise to include the profession of supervised visitation monitor.

 

As a trained Professional Supervised Child Visitation Monitor, mandated reporter, and CPR certified provider, I am currently offering off-site supervised monitored visitations and monitored supervised exchange services pursuant to the California Rules of the Court, Standard 5.20 and Family Code 3200.5.

 

As a trained provider, I have successfully completed the required 24 hours of classroom training and instruction in the following subjects:

 

            *The role of a professional provider;

            *Child abuse reporting laws;

            *Record-keeping procedures;

            *Screening, monitoring and termination of visitations;

            *Developmental needs of children;

            *Legal responsibilities and obligation of a provider;

            *Cultural sensitivity;

            *Conflicts of interest;

            *Confidentiality;

            *Issues relating to substance abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse and domestic

              violence;

            *Basic knowledge of family and juvenile law.

 

My responsibility and obligation to both parents are to always remain a neutral third person during the visitations, make every reasonable effort to assure the safety and welfare of the child/parent interactions and document objectively only what is seen and heard during the exchange/visitation.
